PM5 firmware

Two numbers

A firmware string looks like PM5 336.061 or 8200-000372-163.000. The number before the dot is the public version (336 or 163). The number after the dot is the build (061 or 000). RowErg and SkiErg use the same public version numbers. BikeErg uses a different set, so 336 on a bike is a different generation from 336 on a rower or a ski.

Continue

On a programmed solo workout, a work piece with an open rest leaves the PM5 waiting on Continue. When you step back on and start rowing, skiing, or riding again, ErgFuse sends Continue to the monitor, so you do not press the button yourself. That signal works on a RowErg or SkiErg when the public version is 30–99, 167–199, or 206 and up, and on a BikeErg from v356 up. On other versions the app asks you to press Continue on the monitor. A team session leaves the PM5 on open rowing or riding, so there is no Continue to send.

Interval times

Concept2 fixed incorrect interval data after the first open rest in build x.062 (March 2026). Older builds can fold the rest into the interval time. The Devices screen in the app says so, and the update is in ErgData. If ErgFuse cannot read the version, it stays quiet.
