Connecting a PM5
On the monitor
The PM5 has to be awake before ErgFuse can see it. Use whichever item is in the menu.
- Turn the PM5 on and wake the screen.
- On an older monitor, open More Options and choose Turn Wireless On.
- On a newer monitor, open the menu and choose Connect.
- Check that a Bluetooth mark shows on the monitor.
In the app
ErgFuse connects to the PM5 itself. Pairing it in the phone's Bluetooth menu is not required.
- Turn Bluetooth on.
- Open ErgFuse and allow the permission when the phone asks.
- Scan and choose the monitor.
Forget it on iPhone
If Settings already lists the PM5, or it says Connected, the phone is holding the link. Forget the monitor there before you scan in ErgFuse.
- Open Settings, then Bluetooth.
- Tap the info button next to the PM5.
- Choose Forget This Device.
- Open ErgFuse and scan again.
Forget it on Android
If Settings already lists the PM5, or it says Connected, the phone is holding the link. Forget the monitor there before you scan in ErgFuse.
- Open Settings, then Bluetooth.
- Tap the PM5.
- Choose Forget or Unpair.
- Open ErgFuse and scan again.
One device at a time
Disconnect ErgData or another phone first. A PM5 talks to one device at a time.
Still not connecting
If the monitor still does not appear, reset Bluetooth on the phone and try once more.
- Turn Bluetooth off.
- Restart the phone.
- Turn Bluetooth on.
- Wake the PM5 and scan again in ErgFuse.
- If the monitor stays hidden, turn the PM5 off and on, then scan again.
Location on Android
On older Android versions the system may ask for location permission so it can scan for Bluetooth devices. ErgFuse does not read your location.
